In English 101: Exploring Multilingualism, each member of our class worked on four different major projects. In project one, each student wrote a personal narrative. Next in project two, each student wrote a major paper using typically two different sources. I used my own personal narrative I wrote in project one and a reading I was assigned about "translingual practice," written by Canagarajah. In project three, each student chose to explore a certain question pertaining to multilingualism and made an extended bibliography with three to five sources to help explore the question we chose. Lastly, in project four we broke up into seperate groups each exploring different questions. We then gathered information from certain people about the topic using an interview. Finally, we created a website exhibit displaying all of the interviews we conducted with seperate analyses. This class has opened my eyes to multilingualism, a topic I was rather ignorant about before this course. I hope you enjoy my site and my works and hopefully it can help open your eyes to multilingualism as well!
